In 1987, Williamsport Bills catcher Dave Bresnahan created baseball history when he used a real POTATO in a trick play during a game. This trick play, dubbed the "Potato Caper" led to worldwide infamy that continues to this day. In his honor, the Crosscutters have adopted the alternate identity of the Potato Capers!
